carrot Juice daily wonder my skin

About 3 months ago I purchased an Omega juicer due to a gruesome jaw surgery which prevented me from chewing anything for 8 weeks. I started out by juicing kale, spinach, apples, celery, cucumber and drinking a glass of it every morning. I didn’t expect it to do anything to my skin, and it didn’t, but I felt great and it did amazing things to my energy levels. After about 2 months of this, I decided to introduce carrot juice into my daily routine. Fast forward to today and I regret not doing this sooner. Carrot juice has done miraculous things to my skin that no product, regimen, or acid peel has even come close to. I’m convinced now that the key to healthy and glowing skin is from within. Everything else is diminishing returns. I recommend everyone here to try juicing carrots everyday for at least a month and see how you react to it. I’ve been drinking a glass (16 oz) of it which comes out to about 6-7 carrots (juiced, not blended). It’s sweet in flavor and adding a bit of ginger makes it quite palatable. I expected there to be at least some discussion in this subreddit on this but was flabbergasted to find nothing. I can’t be the only one to have done this. Hopefully some of you closet carrot juicers can chime in. For those of you who are willing to try this, you won’t regret it. I know many of you will benefit from it and see great results. Happy juicing!

I wonder how much curcumin I absorb from fresh turmeric root in my smoothies. I get fresh turmeric root for like $1.00 a bag.

I doubt you get very much curcumin. Although you’re still getting benefits from using it of course

So what is the ingredient or ingredients in carrot juice that you think makes it a magic elixir for beautiful skin?? Some vitamin or a mineral or both?

There’s some research that suggests it might be carotenoids – the things that make red/orange veggies the colour that they are. I posted a link to a study as a separate comment.

Carrots are one of the best sources of Vitamin A. It also has many other vitamins, but vitamin A is what seperates it from other vegetables and fruits.

Vitamin A – I do know that is supposed to be great for skin – so it makes sense! Thanks! 🙂
